A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, at 23 years old Mary Cheatham moved to Morehead City and has never looked back.  Mary Cheatham King Real Estate opened its doors in 2015, has held the rank of Carteret County’s number one real estate team since 2017 and has been recognized as Carteret County’s Small Business of the Year. Known for a commitment to their community, MCKRE has raised and donated almost $400,000 to locals in need and has served more than 1,700 families, guiding them to their ideal purchase or sale. Mary Cheatham credits MCKRE’s success to the incredible team of women she works alongside and to their shared mission of building real relationships and exceeding expectations at every turn.  

Beginning her career as a graphic designer, Meg utilizes her creativity to implement marketing strategies that build MCKRE's marketing presence. She establishes the brand's look and feel, develops the MCKRE Magazine, spearheads marketing efforts for the MCKRE Development Team, appears weekly on Coffee with MC and runs MCKRE Marketing + Design Co., which provides graphic design services to fellow small businesses. She loves attending a workout class, cooking a new recipe for dinner, grabbing an iced matcha latte at one of Carteret County's adorable coffee shops, or tackling house projects alongside her fiancé, Shawn, and golden retriever, Bean!
